spirithiker says: I would like to believe that Bush administration officials will be held accountable for the illegal activities they were a party to, but I get this sinking feeling this is going to be nothign more than a charade. Forget the activities of the Bush Administration; how about the people that are being appointed Senators, Cabinet members, current members of Congress, etc.... of the Obama Administration? Bush is gone and are things now more ethical?? I'm becoming convinced that you have to be a crook, connected to organized-crime, able to 'buy' a position, or get it through inheritance. It's immoral to allow criminals to just get away with their crimes unpunished. Doing this will send a message to every future president, that they can do as they please, no matter if it's illegal, and they will not be punished. I agree boniface and I wish Maj. Gen. Tony Taguba and his group of lawyers the best of luck. I wish I had more faith in their abilities but they will be stonewalled until this whole thing passes. Jatfla, I think we are all feeling your pain. It seems every election cycle we are more eager to vote the current members out. It is getting so difficult to find someone who can really bring us change we can believe in. |
