Thanks debbyski for the link to Joe Cocker' song.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlDmslyGmGI&;

He sings: "You are so beautiful". And add "to me"
I like much this song. of curse we come back to the question: what is beauty? What are the criteria of beauty? Is it subjective? … and so on… Maybe I will make clips about it…

and....…I change the title of the article from "Why Aren’t All People Beautiful?" to "why are most people far from flawless?"

Joe Cocker is the perfect example in that song, isn't he Einbar? Far from being anything close to a specimen of physical beauty; yet he reminds us of the beauty of love . . .

From my point of view (isn't all we have? Cocker song is about the subjective way he preserve the beauty of his beloved one . She is beautiful to him. And for "the power of love" and how its affect the lovers I mad a clip recently :
See: "The science of love" http://clipmarks.com/clipmark/9F279502-E55E-4DC9-A04E-C2D6194001BE/
"We can now look inside human brains to view changing patterns of activity and biochemical changes that take place during love, explore diverse human experiences of love, study how we select mates and woo lovers, and look for the evolutionary roots of love"

what about the magic we ask, the poetic heart beat?? Is the science point of view threatening our inner most feeling?? Or maybe we can evolve our understanding of the world and accept that this is the time for trying to find new explanation without drop the magic?? It's just a thought …… (And forgive me for the language I am trying )

No worries Einbar; I understand you perfectly. There is the language of poetic love and of scientific thought. I think we can only understand the emotion of love by being in the business of loving but that doesn't threaten the scientific explanation. Does the scientific explanation become too clinical? Perhaps to those who prefer to take it ouside the laboratory
