Since updating the clip button in firefox, I don't get the option to have the orange lines to clip pictures. Is anyone else having trouble with this update? or is it a confliction with another addon?

A few weeks ago, the same thing happened to me. I tried reinstalling Firefox, but that didn't fix the issue. This was before the clipmarks update and before Firefox 3.5 was released, but you described exactly the same problem I was having.

Have you tried removing the clipmarks add-on and then reinstalling. Or reinstalling Firefox?

I have 2 computers on my desk, so I was using the other one to clip. I also installed Portable Firefox, then installed the clipmarks tool. And that worked. The portable version is no different the original, it just allows you to have multiple installations on the same system or flash drive.

Thanks clip on, I have tried re installing clipmarks but not FF. if I can't get the solution I'm going to try the portable and as a last resort re installing FF.

clipmarks has updated and it has changed some, I was confused but now know that it is just the updates

Keep all your software updated as soon as it released and as far as your hardware permit, otherwise you will be drown in troubles.
