Dr. Chris Geddes from<SPAN class="vitstorybody"><SPAN class="vitstorybody"><DIV> University of Maryland Biotechnology Institute is <A href="http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/medical/stories/MYSA111306.contacts.kens.30ecc665.html">creating contact lenses with sensor spots in them</A> that change color as the wearer's glucose level changes. </DIV><BR /><DIV>With these new glucose-monitoring contacts, the wearer would have a small translucent dot on the left side of their visual field. The dot would change colors if glucose levels became dangerously high or low.
