Maybe Clipmarks could have 'existing clip' search function so we are not all clipping the same stuff over and over again. If someone tries to clip something that exists, it would alert them so at least the clipper would know its old news here.

Yes, I guess that was my point. Instead of taking up MORE room and resources by adding redundant clips, it wouls automtically POP the existing clip.

Information and knowledge are great but that doesn't mean they can't be stored and displayed in the most efficient manner.

I've been dying to have that function, The REAL Napster. I also don't like seeing clips twice so I try my best to avoid clipping items that are already here. I usually search for possible tags an article may have before clipping but I guess I've been search-negligent on this. Oh well, I'm pretty sure the Clipfathers are already brewing something in the Clip labs. I trust they'll surprise us with the feature some time in the near future.

I've been bitching about that lacking feature since day one... It should alert the user that the clip exists and offer to allow them to view the clip, comment & or pop it...

PS: That's a great friggin ad.. I've been warning friends about that forever...
