Ditto - IE is bloatware. FF allows customization and runs faster on my computer.

I'm cheesed. Upgraded to Firefox 3.1 which no longer supports Real Player. Now I'm stuck without a video downloader. Wish I hadn't.

If you installed RealPlayer before you installed Firefox, the plugin
may not be recognized. You must copy some files to the Firefox folder.

In Windows Explorer, go to C:\Program Files\Real\RealPlayer\Netscape6.
Right-click the file nppl3260.xpt, and select Copy.
Go to the folder C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\components.
Right-click any empty space in the folder, and select Paste.
In Windows Explorer, go back to C:\Program Files\Real\RealPlayer\Netscape6.
Right-click the file nppl3260.dll, and select Copy.
Go to the folder C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins.
Right-click any empty space in that fold...

Firefox has a User Agent Switcher that may be handy for this....

Thank you for your help imnclady. Regret it didn't work. Everything I've read on the web about this issue indicates there is no way around it. Despite much whinging and whining and moaning and groaning on the web about it, neither Firefox nor Real have done anything to fix the problem and its possible they never will. To your knowledge would Chrome have that function compatibility?
