Let me drive the nails in this paper coffin right now. Firstly commerical aircraft fly at altitudes of FL180 and above, which is 18,000 MSL (mean Sea Level). CRUISING altitudes of aircraft enroute can be anywhere from FL180 and above. Typically they will be at 25-35k due to separation from other traffic and smoother air flow. The hijacked FL93 was NOT at cruising altitude as it neared it's final target. You have to bring the aircraft down at a controlled rate of descent otherwise it will break apart. Simple physics limits. BTW- I'm a former air traffic controller, and have friends both military and civillian who are current controllers. We had perfect... Only a small percentage came from private cell phones, and that was only when the plane was low enough to receive steady cell service. Sideways impact caused the anchors at the ground to flex past recovery plus the weight of the planes on this fractured structure. The towers fell like that because their bases were compromised. Don't forget that the towers were fine until the planes hit them. I don't like it being called an inside job because it doesn't make sense. Who is to say there wasn't additional terrorists inside the building awaiting the impacts to blow more bombs off? I can imagine a target like this with inside terrorists to assure a collapse in any outcome. |
