in order for american oil to be used by americans, our oil market would have to be closed off from international markets. this would make gas prices increase, not decrease.

the lack of production capacity here in america will prevent us from refining the oil drawn out of OCS and ANWR.

what good will it do to open OCS and ANWR to more drilling? not much.
