laceym says: I can imagine a lot of people will call BS on this. Personally I was happier with one child. What defines happiness? I couldn't imagine life without both my children now and I couldn't imagine life with children before I had them. They have brought me the most joy, sadness, pride, pain, wisdom, laughter, and love than anything I've ever experienced. The number should depend on the economy. 4 Your number will be according to your circumstances Some people also believe in the curse or superstition of having one child grow up without siblings with some mental issues and what not. I don't believe in that crap. It is probably more prevalent in the East. I think two should be the max. We don't want a bunch of little "Kaisers" running around, so 1 wouldn't be a good idea. No siblings, no uncles, aunts and so on. With overpopulation being an issue in the world today and with sustainability in mind, I think 3, 4 or more kids, is bordering selfishness. I guess I'll have to say "2"... Well I'm here, so get used to it. However many you are mentally, emotionally and financially able to handle is not up to anyone but the potential parents. Extraversion points to birth order. Its good to find a first born, born again. If biology is destiny, it is taught culturally. I am from a large family. I told my mom one day I wish she hadn't had so many children. She looked at me and said, "which one of you should have remained unborn?" That stopped my complaints. Now I love having so many brothers and sisters. Family reunions are fun and it is nice to have so many caring people in my life. |
