I prefer to see no violence and pray there will never be any, but it is the duty of every citizen to be armed.

I just love the sound of that. As numb-skulled and complacent as we are as a nation, this is a profound statement about the U.S. as a people. The power is in our hands. Don't Tread on Me! Interesting that the slogan does NOT say, 'don;t tread on us'. A nation was never more perfectly founded, and more perfectly ruined.

How do you stop guns getting into the wrong hands?

Guns in the "wrong" hands are the price we pay to remain free. But your definition of "wrong" hands may not be my definition of "wrong" hands. That's what the anti-gun legislation is all about, appointing a "judge" (council, committee) to decide who can have guns legally and who cannot.

A shame that they don't actually do that in the US, Satchamo. Time after time, it's been found that ex-cons and formal mental patients have gotten their hands on not only guns, but explosives as well.

The guns in America are already in the wrong hands. Just look at all the vigilantes on the Mexican border, city gangs, Neo-Nazis and conspiracy theorists that have enough firepower to prevent rightful peacekeepers from enforcing law and order on them when needed. Civilian-owned firearms are one of the greatest dangers to life and liberty that Americans face. Any lunatic can form their own militia, and enforce their will over others by might.

Does that really sound free?
