The article says Phelps-Roper wants to challenge the state's flag law as being outdated.

That's fine, and I'm reasonably certain she's right on that.

However:
"Phelps-Roper is a member of a Topeka, Kan., church that conducts anti-homosexual picketing at funeral services for U.S. soldiers."
The article doesn't specify whether they picket funeral services for gay U.S. soldiers, or just U.S. soldiers in general. While the latter wouldn't make a lot of sense, in either case they're chowderheads and mean-spirited bumblefucks. I would hate to be a family member at a funeral service they were picketing, even with the protest permit keeping them 300 feet away.

A church! Ah, the wonders of how some people interpret God's love...

Yea, Slowdjin, what's up with churches in her neck of the woods? Ha-ha. I think they are alittle extreme in their practices, not unlike other factions around the word. It's those type of nuts that are Bush fanatics borderlining cult status.

Fred Phelps runs a demonic perversion of a church in Kansas, mainly his own family, and this crazy old bat is one of his daughters.

One of the main themes of the church is that homosexuals are evil and our tolerance of them causes all of America's problems. The soldier whose funeral they attended was probably not gay - these idiots picket ANY US soldier's funeral. They are bat-shit crazy.

Oh good grief. The "church" and "Phelps" connection got totally past me. D'uh.

I'm not religious, but if there is a Hell I hope that all the low-fiber turds in the Phelps family spend eternity getting jabbed in the ass with pitchforks.
