Not as difficult as it reads and can be fun to do. We prepared and canned salsa, stewed tomatoes, strawberry ice cream topping (jam that turned out too syrup-py), apples, etc and then gave some as gifts. You don't have to grow a garden - although it is better. Your grocery mart will suffice for supplying you with the foods you'd like to try in canning recipes too.
