happyhomemaker says: What a remarkable story!! Who'd have thought a really good use for Viagra. Simply miraculous. Great story! It is a great story, I'm not denying, but not necessarily as unexpected as you might think. Viagra was actually discovered by accident. Doctors were testing it trying to develop a drug that relaxed blood vessels around the heart, and found it actually relaxed blood vessels around a different piece of anatomy. So I mean, it -was- fulfilling it's original purpose in a way. I never would've thought of using it for a baby in that way, though, very clever. I heard a similar story about artificial sweetener. A chemist who was creating a drug for ulcers accidentally spilled some on his hand and forgot to wash his hands. Later he went to eat his lunch and was licking his fingers and noticed his sandwich was "sweet". I'll have to do some internet looking for this one because I read about this one way, way back before I ever got online. LOL Who knows, it might even be an urban legend. I just know I read it somewhere. happyhomemaker: i clip this one too... but it really makes me think of all wonderful things that can be done for kids health...Viva Viagra!!! Sorgalim, great minds think alike! |
