Continued reports of substandard treatment of our veterans happens almost daily. Why are civilian hospitals and clinics inspected by health regulators and Veteran Hospital and Clinics aren't?

One patient who had a colonoscopy at the Veterans Affairs hospital in Miami using equipment that was not properly sterilized has tested positive for HIV. Seven patients have confirmed cases of hepatitis C.
