When someone says that to me I say, "Could you be more specific please?"

Anyone here say 'Hi, it's me", and if so, can you explain why?

i must admit-- not only do i say it--- but i get about 10 'hi, it's me' calls a day-- drives my husband INSANE-- he never knows who he's talking to!
I guess i do it with people i talk to throughout the day, and i just assume they know my voice--i don't know why saying my name is an extra effort-- i'll work on this!!
