Obviously, such a trial does not offer to much money to the subject, but you can also opt out and get paid if things freak you out too bad. You'll have to read the fine print. Overall, I would involve myself in the trails with the least risk because of the incident in the UK.. For the most part, I don't think it would be considered for a career.
