...yes and no. This is just a variation of an old tech. called KVM (Keyboard Video Mouse), and I have one from Iomega I use to "flip" between my notebook and an MacMini. Works great if you want to reuse one keyboard, monitor and mouse on 2 or more computers. If you get a USB version, there are less cables cause one use per pc controls both keyboard an mouse.

Very cool th0ough, much better than the old KVMs from belkin we had.. omg the wires!!! and they didn't color code them? trying to remember which 12 foot PS2 cable (mouse/keyboard) you have by the time you following back through the server stack is irritating...

Then again, this is for home/personal use.. our KVMs were for dozens of serves

I've had a Belkin KVM switch for a while now. It works pretty good.
