BobbyRutan says: More: "I just don't think it's true. When she had a big job in government, she blew it," said the British-based Greer, referring to Hillary Clinton's work on health issues during her husband's administration Greer, who has made headlines with provocative attacks on the likes of Diana, Princess of Wales and the late Australian "crocodile hunter" Steve Irwin, said she knew the Clintons personally. She attacked the former first couple's marital style, saying the pair enjoyed a "confederacy" or business partnership, rather than an emotional relationship. "They give me the creeps, from that point of view," Greer said. But Greer said that while she did not like Hillary, who is battling fellow Democrat Barack Obama for the Democratic nomination for the presidency, she was a fan of the US president who was in power from 1993-2001. "Everybody loves Bill. Bill is adorable and Bill is always flattering me and inviting me to stuff in Britain and we're buddy-buddy, and I like him," s "cold," "bossy" and "manipulative"Odd, I thought that was the description of the ultra feminists. She is there because she is Bill's wife,I heard her say that this morning and I nearly blew a gasket. Mind you, I have my reservations about Hillary Clinton as President, but I think the assessment of her as only being able to be a Senator or to be able to run for President simply because she is married to Bill Clinton, is outrageous. Bill is always flattering me and inviting me to stuff in Britain and we're buddy-buddy,Yeah. Some feminist. I'm just reporting the story on this one, as someone claimed I must be an obvious sexist since I'm an Obama supporter. If people are interested in who this woman is then follow the link -> Germaine Greer I must be an obvious sexist since I'm an Obama supporter.Well, yeah... (just kidding) I won't make a crude joke about being a support for Obama, either. Hardy har har well if it isn't yanceducat our little republican conservative troll. Whines constantly that Hillary has been smeared all these years by the republicans unjustly but if Hillary isn't the nominee he is going to go running into their arms to cast his ballot. That is how he will pay her tribute and honor her. I have yet to see someone else so devoid of logical reasoning. We ask nothing in return except that you educate yourself a little more before you spew forth. Your participation seems to be trailing off. Is Spring break over or are you too busy working on John McCain's reelection? She sounds like she has a thing for Bill Clinton And she's jealous, actually she sounds like she's jealous of anyone who might even appeat to be more successful than she is. She has to face the facts: women's lib didn't go as she planned and she is just grasping at faded popularity. Whether she is or isn't jealous for those reasons is not my point. In actuality it was to see whether our little republican troll, yanceducat, would call a feminist a sexist because she was critical of Hillary Clinton. Well shucks, yance, your a dude and she's a feminist so why don't you just call it like you see it. Is she a sexist for saying something critical of Hillary? You seem to be driven as whether people are sexist are not. If I don't care to vote for Hillary because I believe she has stooped to gutter politics and fear mongering then I am a sexist. But if a feminist says Hillary is cold, bossy, and manipulative it's inconsequential to you? If she says she gets the creeps from Hillary existing in a marraige that lacks passion and is only a confederacy designed to acquire power it's inconsequential to you? If a feminist says that the only reason Hillary is running for the presidency is because she is a former president's wife and lacks a senatorial record of legislative achievement it's inconsequential to you? Quit being a hypocrite. You are nitpicking semantical differences. Greer says, "She is there because she is Bill's wife, and it's a bit useless to pretend, 'Oh, it's because of her wonderful job as a senator,' " If it isn't due to her legislative experience and credentials then being Bill's wife is her ONLY reason, according to Greer. You need to enroll in an English course this summer instead of going to work on McCain's campaign. And so this free thinker who is widely regarded as one of the most significant feminist voices of the later 20th century, a key figure in the emancipation of womens understanding of their self image and sexuality is a "sexist" for believing Hillary lacks the credentials for the job. ... You try and have the best of both worlds, it's pretty amazing. She isn't a sexist, she just uses sexist language. Does anybody in the real world outside of your cyber existence take you seriously? Regarding Steve Irwim, I don't live in Australia so I really don't know what Australians think of him. But you, the imaginer of covens of witches are capable of most anything. However I did find this on the web and it came out of Steve Irwin's own mouth "In 2003, Irwin spoke to the Australian Broadcasting Corp.'s "Australian Story" television program about how he was perceived in his home country. "When I see what's happened all over the world, they're looking at me as this very popular, wildlif... Noticed this commentary about Hillary....... by a woman. Ms. Clinton wants to have it both ways. Her pitch is that she's the best person, regardless of gender, to answer the White House phone. But she is also shameless about playing the gender card. Women ought to vote for her because, not only does she know what it's like to be a leader who can pick up the hotline, she also knows what it's like to be a 60-year-old waitress who's had to work hard all her life and put up with a cheating man. And besides, it's about time for a woman to be president.
Actually I surfed around the internet. Something you might try. It's called educating yourself. And there were many articles of Australians interviewed after Irwin's death who said the exact same thing. Go ahead, educate yourself. It would be refreshing. But I still like this commentary by another woman about Hillary. Ms. Clinton wants to have it both ways. Her pitch is that she's the best person, regardless of gender, to answer the White House phone. But she is also shameless about playing the gender card. Women ought to vote for her because, not only does she know what it's like to be a leader who can pick up the hotline, she also knows what it's like to be a 60-year-old waitress... Now boys, I don't think you should play the ethnic card. Neither of you would measure up. A bit of the pot calling the kettle black, don't you think? Unless you are speaking of the original pure ethnic peoples. Can she win without playing her sex card? She knows she shouldn't but she must? Exactly Righthand, yance keeps dancing around avoiding commentary on the topic. He would prefer to comment on a distraction of which I have already admitted my ignorance but did do some research (something yance tends to avoid). But once again here is the pertinent topic. Ms. Clinton wants to have it both ways. Her pitch is that she's the best person, regardless of gender, to answer the White House phone. But she is also shameless about playing the gender card. Women ought to vote for her because, not only does she know what it's like to be a leader who can pick up the hotline, she also knows what it's like to be a 60-year-old waitress who's had to work hard all her life and put up w... That's very convenient for you. Most people actually see the person committing the offense as the one whose mouth the words came out of, or the tactics of the campaign were a result of. In fact, Hillary once again apologized, while campaigning, for the hateful rhetoric of Geraldine Ferraro (which you have said that Hillary is either wrong in her understanding of the words or wrong to apologize for Ferraro's remarks while a staffer on the Hillary campaign). Quote: "Well, I said yesterday that I rejected what she said, and I certainly do repudiate it and regret deeply that, you know, it was said," Clinton said. "Obviously, she doesn't speak for the campaign. She doesn't speak for any ... Of course your admitting that Hillary is a chameleon with no sense of morales or ethics. No wonder she attracts your vote. Happy voting against Hillary wishes. Yanceducat, John McCain supporter, purveyor of Republican ideals. |
