I've been considering buying a Vizio 37" HDTV ready LCD at Sam's Club for $999.00, lol. But even in the poorest and most rural area's of my state, it's not uncommon to see satellite dishes.

Scary. Maybe in a near future, the tv sets at homes would be taken into account at demographic analysis. "U.S: 300 million human beings and 350 million tv's". Or even worse, maybe a 50" Sony Plasma would participate in the presidential elections and win it with its fellow tv sets' votes.

Ashamed to admit, we have 3 TV's in our home; one in the garage (being stored); and 2 computers with TV tuners. Yikes!

No TV either Adam. Only thing we have is computers to view and play the moving digitial information and entertainment.

I have a tv, which is the first electronic thing I ever bought with my hard-earned wages. I was well pleased with it...decent size at 27-inches.....then I got my laptop which is now dead...and the TV's still working. Yay for TVs being reliable.

With televisions now on buses, elevators and in airport lobbies, that development may have as much to do with TV’s ubiquity as an appliance as it does conspicuous consumption. The popularity of flat-screen TVs now make it easy to put sets where they haven’t been before.

Half of American homes have three or more TVs, and only 19 percent have just one, Nielsen said. In 1975, 57 percent of homes had only a single set and 11 percent had three or more, the company said.
