Good riddance, let it go the way of Victrolas, vinyl and 8 track tapes. Welcome to the 21st century. I've never seen a decent picture taken with a polaroid. They are always exposed weird, often out of focus and usually have that strange yellow tint to them. She should have taken the money she would save not buying polaroid refill packs and bought a $100 digital camera that would have taken pictures 10x the quality. well, digital have taken over all cameras! why pay for a roll of film to be developed, when you can do it yourself! Its obvious you do not know much about the wide range of Polaroid films or you would have never made that comment. You should do yourself a favor and I buy the book POLAROID from Taschen. Burn, this is the death of a medium. It is the same thing as though the manufacture of sketch pads and artist's pencils were to cease. While there are other ways to produce a seemingly similar outcome, nothing else is really the same. It is in the exploitation of the differences of media in which art can make expressions as broad as within the media itself. The death of Polaroid film precludes that potential for those who have chosen it as their expressive tool. |
