kmcolo says: So why not adopt it? Well, that would be socialized medicine... Tell me this is not true. @arifsali - This is not true. @kmcolo, interesting clip. perhaps the French have something meaningful to offer after all @kmcolo, interesting clip. perhaps the French have something meaningful to offer after allWell I wouldn't go THAT far RS. In Denmark we pay taxes that would seem outrageous to an American (or a Chinese) and therefore we receive benefits when we are in need. These things go together. I think the term "socialized medicine" is an abomination designed to gloss over the lack of ... The problem with the 'outrageous' taxes isn't their size so much as the incompetence in ANY government to manage these taxes skillfully. Governments, including our own I'm sorry to say, have clearly showed their incompetence when it comes to business-oriented endeavors, be it healthcare or anything else typically handled in the private sector, with much more success. I think there are a number of reasons for this, but it's still the case. The government can and should do things like managing the army, law enforcement, with proper checks and balances in place, but anything else should be handled privately, since the government has shown time and again its incompetency to deal with such endeavors. |
