Honour indeed... poor woman.  Infuriating. Seems to me she was the Honorable one If found guilty perhaps their punishment could be a mirror image of their crime. They have after all bought dishonour on the Kurdish people. In London wouldn't they just get house arrest if they have jobs? An honor killing somehow implies morals. But I have to wonder, where do they get their morals from? These people, these cultural values, are an embarrassment to any that loves freedom and justice. And she was so young, and in love. The best time in life for the free-spirited heart. How can people be so ignorant? Its awful but it just goes to show you how different societies have different values. The free world imposing freedom onto a society that doesn't value it is a great example of what is wrong with this world. I think we should leave these societies alone and let them kill their women and children and blow each other up. If thats what they want to do to themselves who are we to stop them. Their retaliation for us sticking our noses in their business is them forcing their ideals onto us like we try to do to them. @skwirl You've got a damn good point. Though I know the young woman valued her freedom, it is not possible to "impose" freedom on a society that is so ensconced in it's own cultural traditions. We can't "impose" freedom. They have to earn it with their own blood. (It's why I wonder why we in America are giving up our freedoms so easily.)
