Witchcraft is an Earth based religion that follows the seasons. Satanism is devil worship. By the way ,the devil (horns, hooves, etc.) was created by the church in the 14th century to scare people back to them. Well, not exactly. Wicca is the religion you note. Witchcraft is not a religion unto itself; it's a set of skills/techniques that can be used by any faith. The idea of the devil is far older than the 14th century, and was not created to scare folks. Don"t confuse the "devil" with Pan or Lucifer. Pan first appeared as a Pagan or Greek god Pan being the root word for panic. It's said if you in the woods and become convinced to the point of "panic" that something is near-by, you have been visited by Pan. Lucifer as well as all other angels were asked by God to serve mankind as well as himself(?) was accepted by most angels except Lucifer and a few others. Lucifer is thought to have said "I can serve you only my God." He was kicked out by God and is now known as the "dark Angel". The devil, only a scare tactic, made up by the chech. Pan was an obscure woodland spirit until the Victorian poets decided to romanticize the image. Lucifer was the Roman "bright, morning star," the planet Venus. Lucifer and Satan did not get paired up as one being until Milton's "Paradise Lost." The devil was not made up by the church to scare people. Pan is the life force of all animals. He keeps the forests growing. Pans' direction is North. He is manifestation .And he is always horny. Lucifer represents our destructive habits, he aids us in our demise. When mankind no longer needs to hurt each other or self, then he will go away. For now, he is just doing his job. The "devil" is not represented correctly by the church. As the God and Goddess are all around and within, the force that feeds off of delusion, pride, hate ,lust and envy can only remain active if it is resides locally and feeds on a regular basis. Blessed Be. The God & Goddess include all things, the good as well as the bad. There is not a separate entity that encompasses the bad traits you list. How is Pan's direction North, the direction of winter, death and shadow, if he's the "life force of all animals" and keeps things growing? Lucifer represents the Bringer of Light (Jesus and Lucifer are the same messenger); the destructive aspect is a modern idea and Abrahamic in perspective. The God and Goddess represent balance , when a being becomes unbalanced then that person no longer resonates with love, compassion and equanimity as well as that person could. Hence Lucifer enables those who seek hell on Earth to find it. Pan is shadow. Therefore his direction is North. North is Earth. Earth is all that grows. Pan is a positive life force in the world. . What is alive will complete it's life cycle hence death. All directions can be interpreted to a certain degree. Go with what you resonate with. Sometimes simple is best. Sometimes not. Jesus was a Buddhist that gave a message of light and understanding to a group of people in a politically charged atmosphere of control and ... "Balance" includes everything; the God/dess is NOT just about love and compassion. North is Earth in some traditions, but not across the board. North for me is Water, which doesn't equate to Pan in the slightest. Jesus was a Buddhist? You realize that the two are in direct contradiction, right? As for the "alive and living in France," there is no historical evidence for such. Is there anything you can provide historical backup? I mean, besides romanticized Victorian literature and the movies. Water is west for me. I studied both Christianity and Buddhism therefore I see the familiarities. Try a book by Thich Nhat Hanh, it's called " Living Buddha, Living Christ" .Read my repley once again, slowly this time, I said spent his r e m a i n i n g days in france. He isn't alive here on earth. Provide historical back-up? Can you prove me wrong? You assume alot about me with your perception of my choice of literature and entertainment.Up until now I have spoke from experience and intuition. You should give it a try now and then. I noticed in most replies of yours you always fall back on books. I don't belong to any book clubs . The books I need "present " themselves to me when I nee... Books are my historical proofs, not the "fall backs," any more than the ones that "present" themselves to you when you need them. Balanced people revel in challenge. I've yet to see you step up to the plate on mine. It's all intuition, which is fine at one level, but I didn't ask about senses. I asked about historical references. I know he's not alive here on earth. I asked for documentation that his remaining days were spent in France. I will write you a book. Read it S L O W L Y.......... It's interesting how sarcasm comes into play when someone cannot support their side of the debate. Predictable and boring. |
