Sounds a bit like 1984 to me..George Orwell Um, without proper cause, don't they need a warrant to search a person's body or belongings? I would say this is illegal, and wonder how they police are getting away with it. I know if I were stopped, I would certainly be asking questions before I'd allow anyone to frisk me! What if this procedure is reducing crime in your neighborhood, would you agree with it? What if crime increased in your neighborhood if it was discontinued, would you complain? What is you where the one stopped and searched for no other reason than the cop "thought" you looked suspicious? How would you feel about it then? If I fit the description of someone who has been committing crimes, I would understand. It is their job to protect the public. |
