From what I have read and studied, religions that promote hatred, violence and genocide are those that consider others not of their religion 'infidels' and fair game to kill. They consider it their 'holy duty'.

Christians made this horrible mistake during the crusades, and as we all know, history is repeating itself with other religions. They didn't learn from the ealier mistakes.
