This is a global map indicating disasters worldwide. They use icons to identify type of disaster at a glance.

It appears to use a Google maping service for display. They track both natural and man made disasters in real time.

Information on each event is provided by holding the cursor over an icon with more detailed information and updates available with a click of the mouse. There is also a tables below the map grouping entries.

Very interesting. Sadly, due to the extensive use of graphics and the fact the tables of disasters don't clip well, the Clip Preview is rather sparse; thus this lengthy comment.
