While Sony and Microsoft have been leading the console charge, Nintendo have been quietly (well, relative to the others) building out a powerful gaming-media-web platform. Keep an eye on their WiFi network (e.g. they just inked a deal with McDonalds).

Users will be able to insert the card into the DS, which   has Wi-Fi wireless networking capability, to browse the   Internet in areas with connectivity.
