It's too bad all the global warming skeptics didn't own real estate on the island.

These people should be given visas to the U.S.A. and Europe and China, the countries responsible for their loss of home.

This story is about 20 years old and is now just getting hyped because of all the dis-information re global warming. Google "Lohachara Island" and read about the inundation of this "island". The supposed islands are micro-islands off India and not visible on Google Earth.

Whole story is a bunch of hooey!

Apparently, Spitoon not only disbelieves in global warming, but also disbelieves in islands, and anything that can't be seen on Google earth.

Looking over his/her (but I'm betting his) brief clip career, spitoon also appears to not believe in the military industrial complex, as well as the idea that torture is morally wrong.

On the other hand Spitoon does seem to belive in a shaddow, ominpresent terrorist threat, armed with all sorts of cool toys. (The "but what would you do if somebody got a dirty bomb in there somehow" school of logic.)

I wonder what Spitoon thinks of evolution? I've found a lot of people who don't believe in global warming also don't believe in evolution, or other fun...

I am an Indian journalist working with The Times of India. For the past few months, I have been researching on the vanishing islands of the Sunderbans. After visiting the area several times and talking to scientists who have worked in the area for years, I found out an interesting thing. The islands of this archipelago are not going under water. They are just being eroded away. And global warming has no major role in that. Please check this link for more details: http://sunderbanislands.blogspot.com/
