why would anyone want to be a pro abortionist, i dont know. Selfish people. why would anyone want to be a pro abortionist, i dont know.I agree, I think the accepted term is "pro-choice" Pro-abortion ≠ pro-choice. Pro-choice = respect for another's right to self-determination. Pro-abortion = pro-actively encouraging abortions in a population which has no preternatural inclination to consider obtaining one. I have never seen such politic in action. Pro-abortion is inflammatory rhetoric. Did it look to anyone here like that person gave a damn about choice? About the same as those who erected the "memorial". They aren't claiming to be pro-choice when it comes to abortion. They are pro-life. But that person you are attempting to label pro-choice seems to not believe in choice at all. Nor does he seem to care about freedom of speech if that speech disagrees with his beliefs. Seems you share those beliefs. Ok. I agree to call it Pro-Choice. And that choice is whether or not to murder the child inside. Bear, you have to be under informed if you think that our society has never been pro-abortionist. Jeesh, over 50,000 American women were sterilized against their will. Sanger and the rest of her cohorts were all for aborting as many black babies as possible. This flavor of eugenics had supporters all the way up to the White House in the Wilson administration. And of course, today, many nations still have pro-abortion policies. The very fact that abortion now falls under the banner of what liberal like to call "reproductive health" should give you an idea of where they would like to see ... So, as I understand your perspective, the issues of an individual woman and her choices as to how to deal with them are overridden by what you believe the debate should or shouldn't be about. How very considerate of you. Do not wash me and my beliefs with the sins and perversions of those who would use my logic to support their own twisted agendas. That guy was really upset. Bear, you are right on. I am sure, however, that if you looked hard enough you would find laws that you don't agree with but others must have or they would never have been enacted. In those cases what you believe has been overridden. What makes abortion any different. |
