jt3600 says: I'm Mc Sorry what was I thinking you said breast milk with that "HAPPY MEAL" and for the father that two Mc Big Breast to go!♠ I'm a woman and I think its ridiculous for these women to pull a protest. Sorry, but I don't want to see a floppy boob while I am eating. That is a private matter and should be treated as such moreover, do it at home or use a breast pump beforehand! How difficult is it to bring a bottle in public? What is the big deal about breastfeeding in public? The female human breast is a food source for babies. Babies need to eat. Do mothers really need to stay shut in until the baby is weened so as not to offend someone that can't see beyond the sexual context of the breast? Most breast feeding mothers are discreet. If you went to a fine dining establishment, would you breastfeed your child? If you brought your child to work would you breastfeed? I would venture to say the answer is no, McDonald's should be no different. To me, it isn't about sexual content, I never stated that, its about what is society acceptable. I understand that the female breast is a food source and that babies need to eat, that's a given. To allow others to feel comfortable (for whatever reason), the milk can be pumped out before leaving the home. I did not say a mother had to be shut in. In an emergency, fine, but if there is a suitable alternative that makes others comfortable, why do something that could offend others? The solution is easy, use a bottle. @BlissBoo If you don't look, then you don't see. @bignosemousie I am in complete agreement. Grow up people. Breasts are not just for or about sex. Too much prudery is bad for your mental health. Grow up? Please, that is an insult. A childish one at that. This is not about being a prude, I am far from that remark. Interesting that the two posts are about sexual context when I never stated as such. As for not looking, seriously, how can you not? Since you don't see it that often, its something that you DO look at because its hard to believe its happening. Hard to explain, but that is my take on it. If it happens, its not like I am going to lose my mind, please. I merely stated that bringing a bottle out is not something out of the question. Merely my opinion, there is no right or wrong to this issue, but regardless, people will be offended for whatever reason and they are perfectly ... Not looking is easy - just avert your eyes, like a mature person would (grow up!). Why does public breast feeding bother you so much? What's the reason? Most people who object are prudes who can only think of breasts as sexual objects, hence the breast reference. |
