One thing I haven't seen mentioned much in this case is that the lowest legal marriageable age in Texas (with parental consent) is 16 and there are legal mechanisms for judicial waivers for even younger. This clouds the issue considerably.

Not only that, but it means that someone could be arrested for child pornography for having an intimate photo of one's own spouse, since those laws are based on age of majority, not age of consnt or marriage.

Lowest marriageable age, with parental consent, is 14 in Texas. 14-16 must obtain written consent, witnessed by a county clerk, or through direct court order. 17 is the lowest marriageable age without this.

Regardless, the polygamous unions can only have one legal union, so the rest are still a moot point. Child porn laws would still apply.
