Daniel Altman e-mailed 49 economists asking them this question. Only 8 (16%) said yes, and of those 8, 5 said other factors were also at work. The rest (84%) said no.

I guess one could say that economic growth occurred for America's upper echelon & the oil companies.
I guess they forgot to put the "economists" on the payroll. lol
