I sincerely hope that Harry Reid changes his mind about supporting the communications bill that gives the communications companies retroactive immunity. It seems now there is evidence that the Bushies started working on plans to spy on our phone calls after only two weeks in office. Please, call your senators and ask them to vote against this bill.

I doubt the Imperial Senate will change its mind. Nope they want their surveillance state. I am convinced that they want those powers, for themselves. Thats why only Chris Dodd has the cojones to do something about. The other Presidential candidates are just salivating at the chance to sit at the throne.

Ratilfar, I fear you are correct. I cannot, otherwise, think of any reason for Reid to be doing this. It just seems so wrong, that I can only assume that he and his cohorts really do want to have these powers and are only pretending to accuse Bush of demanding too much power. This is why I am losing more and more respect for my home country, and happier than ever that I moved to Canada in 1985. I just do not like the way my country is going. Each time there is an election I hope for change, and all I get is continued decline in what I always believed our country stands for.
