What a great concept...rehabilitation in prison instead of simply incarceration! Who knew it could work?!

It doesn't work! Over 60% of crime is caused by those who have committed previous crimes. What are the numbers for those who have been in prison? Look it up! Prisons are a failure! Prisoners should not be given anything. Prisons should be in an environment where the prisoners work for everything... Yes, even their food. Even the thought of giving methadone to prisoners is offensive.

I never said that prisons work. I said that the rehabilitation of prisoners work. You can look that up. What is the point of having prisons if all we do is release them in a state worse than the state they were in when they came in. We have to start thinking about the kinds of citizens we're putting back into society. Its much more cost-effective to teach these individuals job skills, social skills, giving them drug and mental health therapy, and etc. You are right prisons don't work!
