This isn't very encouraging. Though I think China has every right to beef up it's military (as RU has every right to sell it, as evil as i think it is), I don't like what this leaves open against Taiwan

Using your logic one could say that N. Korea has every right to push with nuclear weapons... or go a few years back and say Germany had every right as well... this could be stated about anyone... The problem is consequences for others, thus it becomes much more complex and painful as we found out when we let Germany beef up its military.
