She has my vote..
It would really change business as usual in Washington.

We need something, because what we got ain't working.

eg, I don't know if you agree with the first sentence, the second sentence, or the whole thing. But this quote is the funniest thing I've heard in quite a while. I think Mystuff had to be joking. Merican actually makes more sense.

If Willhelm agrees with me, I must be wrong. But, dang, I cannot figure out how this time.

No WAY! I think we will have a non-white male president before we ever have a woman.

Somehow I think that she is up against "men-tality" which may be the reason for her thicker skin. I have a feeling that men don't like women congregating or commanding from the box seats of their political ball field. The adage of "if it's not broke, don't fix it" is what drives women to make changes and men to be complacent.

Now, let me be perfectly clear. I'm not advocating Ms. Hillary to Presidency. Just playing devil's advocate with a bit of satire and some metaphor. I don't consider myself politically educated but I sometimes "feel" the atmosphere and can guess that she's going to run.... just to make it a tough call.

We all know she wanted to be in the front seat with Bill....

SOME men may not like it, but looking at some other examples - Indira Ghandi, Golda Meir, Maggie Thatcher - if we got one of those - I'd vote for her in a heartbeat... unfortunately, if all we get is Hillary - no vote from me.

Republican men would fight to get in the front of the line to vote for Condi Rice! You making this a men vs women debate shows it is primarily a focus for women. In my personal dealings, I actually find more women are unwilling to vote for a woman.. go figure.

Hi Willhelm,
Actually, that was something else that I needed to clarify, so thanks for the heads up. I believe that there would be a lot of women voting for Hillary in respect to my "thoughts" on her thick skin. You see, I never liked Hillary and I know I'm not alone. But why don't we like her? Is it her political standing? Is it her bull headedness? Is it her "controlling ways?" Is it the way she attempts to climb the ladder of success? Why don't people like her, and especially members of her own party?

I, personally, did not like her ideas on health insurance. I also didn't like the fact that she appeared to overstep her husband while he was Pres. "Appeared" is the key word beca...

Again, I'm not defending her or building her up. But rather from a "women's" point of view, just sharing what see and feel based on what I've read. I don't mean to make this a man thang over a woman thang. Because of the strong will that she portrays, what I am trying to say is that if she is going to gain or accomplish any amount of respect, she has to have a show of leadership or command. I don't believe that I am the only one that measures character and promise as well as personality before I vote.

Tell me.... what do you see differently about Rice? Is she commanding? Does she portray a leadership personality? And if so, how does she do it? Quietly? Femininely?

I hate to say ...

Rice is self made. She did not attach herself to someone who eventually became president and ride his coattails to a Senate seat. Other than that, what has she done. She is loved by the left for her subversive ultra-leftist ideolgy. Her healthcare fiasco is a window into that soul. She has this myth about her either created or imagined that she is "thick-skinned" or "controlling". I think the issue is more about her attitude. A wise person once told me long ago, you can tell alot about a person by the way they treat waiters, bellhops, and service-people in general. I have always watched people throught this lens. Hillary does not have the character that appeals to me personally, and I think ...

Speaking of "coattails.... did you happen to read the clip I posted regarding the min wage increase? If memory serves me correct, she is banding together with Sen Ted Kennedy. Big name, big game. coattails.....

I'm sorry I missed it. I did comment on one clipped by BitDrifter on this subjuect. I see it as election year shenanegans. If she were president, I would be willing to bet big money she would not allow a hike in the min wage in her first term. Reason 1. the economy would be hurt and reason 2. she would lose it as an issue for a second term. Politics makes me sick, especially when mentioned with the name Clinton or Kennedy.
