Wow, how did this person arrive at a conclusion of apathy? Of course the more informed are less concerned about global warming. That's because even a cursory study of the actual science behind the phenomenon (climatology) shows the contemporary "awareness campaigns" to be nothing more than a (no doubt politically motivated) hoax. Those who study and acquire their own understanding are not particularly prone to conform with propaganda. Those who do not take the time to learn have little choice but to be swayed in the direction of the propaganda, (or else to oppose it out of a knee-jerk reaction.)
