Knowledge is. Imagination will be.
If I want to explain something, I try and remember how I learned it in the first place. Always remembering how things can seem obvious once known, but without the right perspective can remain relatively obscure.
When did the Penny Drop ? I also must remember, that while I may be explaining what I know, or believe, that another's unique experience, and knowledge, may allow them a deeper insight than mine, and so I can also learn from them. Learning should always work at least both ways.

"The only thing that interferes with my learning is my education."

I love this, you really can't learn everything in the classroom and through books.

My favorite is : "Common sense is the collection of prejudices acquired by age eighteen."

interesting coming from a man who was severely lacking in common sense! Most geniuses are though.....

I can't figure out if this was directed at Einstein or at ladalooop88845 - in either case, it was a very small minded thing to say.

It was about Albert E.
He probably had Asperger's Syndrome. I have a son with the same disorder. Mr. E. could not remember common sense tings like, where he was, that he should comb his hair, how to get home..... symptoms of AS. Not a put-down- just an observation. I don't think he thought so highly of himself that he would feel insulted. He was a great man, but like all humans, he had some issues. He was also known for:
* limited but intense range of interests, especially specific intellectual areas
* difficulty in social relationships, especially responding appropriately to others
* problems communicating, such as difficulty making conversation or understanding others

"I want to know God's thoughts; the rest are details."

Didn't know he said that. I like it.
