I don't want to sound heartless, but if this happened to animals, the mother would suffocate them at birth to save them pain. We can learn a lot from the animal kingdom. I feel so sad for these twins.

By going through what people would call heroic measures to save these babies who is actually benefiting, the so-called do-gooders' or the babies?
