pkronfield says: Next thing, they will be extending rights to the lowest life form on the planet - - militant muslims. Blow up a few trains and what do you get? Ape sh*t! PK your rationale is disgusting as usual... but this article IS ludicrous. Guys these generalizations and stereotypes are RACIST. If you can't see that then you're blind. they will be extending rights to the lowest life form on the planetAnyone who refers to human beings as "lowest life forms" is just wrong. A couple weeks ago he referred to them as 'body lice'. This is just disgusting I don't even want to talk about anymore. This news is troublesome. I do not see a problem with this decision. Apes are our closest relatives. Some scientists even say that chimpanzees (genus: pan) and humans (genus: homo) ought to belong in the same genus (right now. Plus, we do not really need apes for their meat and our lives will not be worse off if they are excluded from circuses and TV shows and movies. I agree with jmjoness that the rhetoric of pkronfield and Smoke TNT is beyond the pale. Oh? And I think beheading Daniel Pearle and videotaping it is also beyond the pale. I think flying aircraft filled with innocent men, women, and children into buildings is also beyond the pale. I think it is beyond the pale when you have more compassion for an ape than human beings butchered by religious maniacs. It is that touchy-feely liberal thing. No stomach for war and retribution and annihilating the enemy, but on the bandwagon for inane stupidity of global warming, political correctness, and socialist idiocy. Smoke and I may be beyond the pale to you, but in the real world view, you are the sheep of the world - at the mercy of the wolves - and probably the apes. And I think beheading Daniel Pearle and videotaping it is also beyond the pale. I think flying aircraft filled with innocent men, women, and children into buildings is also beyond the pale.Agreed. But do you realize that they give the exact same reasons you are when they justify their actions? "The Americans attacked us, the Americans hate us (which you obviously do), etc etc.." Revenge is never the answer. Especially when it's agaisnt someone that had nothing to do with the attack on you in the first place! Stop the vicous cycle, and you stop the killing. It takes a stronger man to do that. Jmjones, in your liberal utopia this may be true, and it is a wonderful dream, but in the real world it is unworkable. It is impossible to get it into your heads that we are at war here, and in war there is a loser and there is a winner. You don't stop to contemplate the "vicious cycle" killing and hate. You kill the enemy and destroy his infrastructure, until his will to fight ends. Liberals never have a will to fight. Thank God your ilk were in a distinct minority during WWII or we would be toiling in a world under a swastika. For sure there were many "good" Germans and Japanese in WWII, and they were certainly "innocent". But it took a Dresden, and Hiroshima, and Nagasaki to get ... First of all, I am not a liberal. I don't know how many times I've told you that. Secondly, Nagasaki and Hiroshima were atrocities, and they were completely unnecessary. Not to mention if the atom bomb hadn't been built, we wouldn't be having half the problems we're having now. I didn't say that you couldn't defend yourself, ofcourse you can. Defense and revenge are two seperate things. And you can defend yourself, and even fight the enemy, without treating them like animals and garbage. That might sound weak, but it's not. It's that sort of thing that stops war, your attitude only feeds it. That's not "utopian", that's real. JK's argument is built on a matter of degrees, which leads to ... 'wow, we might as well extend human rights to elephants'. It is materialism at it's most profoundly vile state. These are the same type of people (materialists), mind you, that did not view jews or blacks as human. Atrocities? Hardly. They ended the war sooner. My father was in Okinawa when these bombs were dropped and was slated to be in the first wave to land on Japanese beaches during the planned invasion of Japan. In all likelihood I and many of my generation would not be here if the U.S. had not dropped the bombs on the enemy. Frankly, I am glad we incinerated some of the enemy so that my parents and brothers and sisters could enjoy a life. Taking that logic a step forward, I suggest we annihilate the present enemy to save our future generations. Ah yes, thousand of innocent women, children, and even men. All so the war could end sooner. I can only hope that if the circumstances were ever reversed the enemy wouldn't be as coldblooded. So what? Apes have rights. It's not like they can vote or exercise their rights. Americans have rights that just go to waste. We might as well see if the animal kingdom can make better use of rights. Rights are worthless. It is what you do with rights that is what matters. |
