Depressing. This is elementary school stuff. If you have kids get them out of the pathetic government schools.

!! I remember that it was my Grama who impressed this one upon me. "I lie down" "I lay my head down". (Along with "horses are hung...everything else is hanged")
What makes me crazy these days is the perversion of grammar through "common usage". Ie: ironical (instead of the correct, "ironic"), irregardless (vs regardless)
If these are commonly used, then we definitely need better education! Soon the correct forms will be listed as "archaic"!
