How do the religious right get around the fact that it was their very God that created that plant and now they have the audacity to outlaw a part of his creation.

When it cost 80 to 150 thousand dollars a year to keep a drug user in jail, it simply idiotic to keep the act of drug use a criminal act. It would be far cheaper to take all that money and speed it on health care and drug treatment centers. Drug use has always been and will always be hear. It is foolish to pretend that we can ever stop it. It seems like a very high price to pay just so that the people who don't drug use wont have to feel bad inside by allowing the rest of us the freedom to make the decision for ourselves whether or not to take a drug.
