And that's why Spain is so notorious for their timely macro-economic predictions. I'm not saying he's wrong, per se, but this is just bandwagon bs that seems more probable than a full market recovery by next year.

Perhaps the money changers would be well advised to dramatically alter their expectations.

The money changers business model has been to loan monopoly money at usury rates to broke americans so americans can finance crap they don't need or want, but rather just "consume" in this mindlessly materialistic economy-society aka "the rat race"

We are broke. We work more hours than virtually anywhere on earth. We are tired. The shiney things that once tempted us no longer fill the void. We are sick of the treadmill, and we are getting off.

@ Polymath22: I am pleased that my family realised a looong time ago that "things" don't bring happiness and so we are not a great consumer family, which makes it that much easier to adapt to this "crisis." I just hope that you are right and this revolution will be a peaceful one, because a lot of people here in Spain are getting pretty mad at losing their jobs while the fat cats are walking away with their pockets full of cash!!

It would be the mother of corrections. The global markets are so overvalued (credit vs. actual assets backing said credit lines) that a major adjustment is in order.

@axe Who said (or is saying) that the markets are going to bounce back, which by the way does not necessarily translate to an improvement in the overall national or global economy as recent events have shown. I hope its not the same people behind "the fundamentals of the economy are sound" crap.
