Indicates a visual mating not a pheromonal one. How did the plant know? How did it know to lure the wasp with an image and not a smell? Doesn't that indicate some sort of intelligence on behalf of the plant? It chose to imitate a wasp to attract other wasps. Not bees or moths or anything else. Interesting... I thought the same thing! It was very interesting to me also. There is a lot of little amazing things in this world that I don't think can be explained. If anyone knows please let us know. Or does anyone have a theory? We might need a flower expert here! |
