Amazing how right wingers are once again going ballistic over this.

This shows either one of two things:

1. They don't have any faith in the American civilian court system to produce a fair trial, or

2. They don't want the trial to be fair. In which case their support for the whole concept of a fair judicial system is suspect in the first place.

My guess is the second alternative: Right wingers have no deep seated belief in either democracy or a fair and just legal system. Fascism, with it's flag-and-Bible waving and military show trials will go down much better with them.

They want him to be tried by a military kangaroo court, where the decision is made before the 'trial'.

You must have been in the military. I would even say you have attended a military court. I had my day in court as a Marine. And your description Kangaroo court is right on. The verdict is always predetermined.

You're right. I was in the military. I worked with the management team. I know all about the discussions between the 'legal' team and their commanding officers before a 'case' - how they discussed the outcome of the case before it even started.
