When I have made a greyscale print (from colour original) very often I give it the slightest tint of blue or red (depending on subject), though these would still be regarded as 'black and whites'. Actual black and actual white is very effective too for many shots, abstracts too. By layering a desaturated image over the original, it's easy to keep the final image monochrome apart from one selected area. True, of course, what ever the monochrome is. |
