Do you find it hypocritical of her not to support gay rights when it is heavily rumored that she is a lesbian?

What does "supporting gay rights" entail exactly? Do you mean gay marriage in particular?

What rumours?
I am not being cute--I seriously have never been told, or read anything that said she was gay. Well, nothing I recall as being something I would take seriously?

I really don't know what you are referring to. Just because a woman is single, doesn;t mean she is gay.

It doesn't seem hypocritical if it's just a rumor. Gay conservatives are not always in agreement with some of these issues - visit gaypatriot.

One thing I did not realize until a few days ago was that Bush signed a gay-rights bill.

Yes, it's true.

By signing this into law, President George W. Bush has, by law, done more for gays than any other President in history. President William Jefferson Clinton, on the other hand, signed two laws (DOMA and DADT) that put gay rights[/b] progress into full reverse.

I just read her whole wikipedia page looking for a hint of debbyski's rumour. Nothing.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Condoleezza_Rice

Family and personal life

Condoleezza Rice is an only child. Her mother, Angelena Rice, died of breast cancer in August 1985, aged 61. In July 1989, Condoleezza's father, John Wesley Rice, married Clara Bailey,[94] to whom he remained married until his death, in December 2000, aged 77.[95]

Rice has never married, and has no children. She has been engaged once, to Rick Upchurch, in the 1970s.[96]

Bush tired to enact his constitutional amendment against same-sex marriage and Condi never uttered a word despite the fact in Washington circles it's widely assumed that Condi is a lesbian who "bonded" over her love of football so much that she lived with another openly gay woman.

If Condi is gay or not gay I would think she would recongize it was wrong to pander to religious conservatives by launching a constitutional amendment banning gay ma...

Now evil is real classy:

“Naturally the common people
don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor
in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the
country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag
the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship,
or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the
people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is
easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and
denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country
to danger. It works the same in any country.” I'm sure "classy" Condi would agree, as do all of you who support torture.

Rat has some good points. Condi refused for as long as possible to testify before the 9/11 Commission, then served the commissioners at least fifteen serious lies--indeed almost nothing but lies, distortions, evasions, and selective amneezzia. To come clean would have meant confessing that Bush and Cheney and especially the National Security adviser, ie, herself, downplayed terrorism from their first days in office and ignored warning after increasingly urgent warning during the summer of 2001. Rice told a large share of the lies with which the administration misled Congress and America which she has peddled ever since to cover her beloved boss's and her own culpability. Thanks to Rice a...

This woman you say is "openly gay" denies it outright. As far as I am concerned , you are simply smearing a woman who has already said she is not gay.

Kindly stop.

from article:

Rumors have also been circulating that Rice has a lover named Randy Bean (pictured below), who she owns a home with. Bean responded to this rumor saying:

"The rumors are complete blather, and the rumor-mongering is at its least imaginative."

"Condi and I have been friends for 25 years. We co-own an investment property in Palo Alto. We do not share a home."

"The insult to my integrity is not that I’m gay, but that I’m closeted. For the record, I’m straight. Anyone who knows me knows how strongly con...

Antara, please. Condi wouldn't know the truth if it hit her square in the face; she has already proved that.

What's crap about the lies she has told and continue to tell as her former position in the Bush Administration? It's been proven that she is indeed a liar and now you want me to believe she is indeed telling the truth about her orientation. Ok, this is the truth and the other lies were lies.

Clip On, Thanks for pointing out what Bush did by signing that Gay rights law. And you are absolutely right, he did more for Gays than any other president before him. In fact, that bill set the stage for gays to have the right to get married because it shows that our government recognizes that Gays and their relationships are valid. I'm disappointed that the Gay community has not done a better job of recognizing this. As a community, we must practice tolerance and forgiveness ourselves or we will become like the very people who have held us back for all these years. We must break the cycle of abuse.

Antara, I too admire Condi Rice and also think she is a class act. She is extremely intelligent and has the very best of diplomatic skills. She devoted all of herself to her job, stayed focused and did not take any opportunities to promote herself. And lets not forget her contributions to women in politics as well as to women all over the world by the example she set.
I believe in giving credit where credit is due. All of us are, in someway or another, outstanding.

Debbie, you accused Bean of being 'openly gay'. I just showed you a statement right from the woman's own mouth where she says flat out she is straight.

I would appreciate you retracting your lies.

As for your opinions on Miss Condi Rice, I could care less. She is a great woman, and remains so despite your efforts to smear her personal reputation, or by second guessing her professional decisions. But lucky for you, you live in a free country where you can smear her all you like without fear of any serious repercussion, so have at it.

OH shit Antara,

@Antara,
My question was if Condi was a lesbian woman would it be hypocritical for her to support an administration that tried to pass a constitutional amendment against gay marriage?

Now, clip on presents an argument that says not all gay conservatives are not in agreement with these issues. And that is a valid argument in the sense that not all people believe that gays should have the right to marry, even gay conservatives. However, I say it is simply a civil rights issue.

You are such piece of trash. I know you were called on your pathetic hate on that clip by others, and you scurried to the dark. I think everyone that read the clip knew exactly what the context was. You are so pathetic.

No Willhelm,
You are a person who tries to twist the truth in your efforts to call yourself a Christian. The truth is that you are someone who hates beyond belief. You hate the fact that you will never be rich. You hate the fact that some people would rather see our money spent on social programs rather than making rich people richer because your aspirations are to be rich. Well, it ain't never happening to you sonny buck.
You are so much in fear of gay people that I could smell the fear in your comments that no one in the history of your particular family has ever been gay

Debbie, you try to claim now that this was your original question:
My question was if Condi was a lesbian woman would it be
hypocritical for her to support an administration that tried to pass a
constitutional amendment against gay marriage?
But here is your actual first question:

Do you find it hypocritical of her not to support gay rights when it is heavily rumored that she is a lesbian?
You can see very plainly the first question has a very different premise than the second.
