The title alone, deserves a pop. I haven't gone to a vacation for a very long time.

I wholeheartedly agree with invictus, suffering from the exact same illness he has.

I'm probably even sadder than invictus, considering the fact that I've worked in the vacation industry for several decades and my biggest clients are resorts of a higher caliber than most... and even when I do get away to go there for a few days, I only pass by the heated rooftop pool, jacuzzis, gym etc., working until 3-4am...

Anyway, invictus, not sure if there's smiley for that, but you have my sincere handshake and I hope you do go on vacation soon... somewhere nice, like here or maybe here.

Of course my prior invitation for y...

Well, RecordSage, thank you very much again, I do remember your invitation and it's very valuable for me. As an old Turkish phrase says, it would be "hitting two birds with a single stone", my vacation could be a vacation opportunity for you too, so I hope I can visit Seattle soon.

Vacation is really very important and I agree with the statement on the clip source, beginning with "Stress produces physiological changes in our bodies..." Sometimes I do feel those changes along with some other physical problems that comes with long hours of working: Pain on the wrists and neck, unusual changes of blood pressure, sleep disorder etc. As a man in his mid-fourties, I see bookchick's clip as a warn...

I'll start working on the itinerary, then ... we'll have to blog the entire event for CM crowds (and future generations). Please let me know when you'll decide for certain.

P.S. Don't forget to get a visa to travel to Canada as well, since that'll definitely be part of the itinerary.

@invictus, today I got my first Turkish Restaurant for my business... so when you come to visit - we'll have a place to eat where you won't feel entirely away from home

Oh no, there is a Turkish restaurant in Seattle too? After considering many others in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami and Boston, now I am pretty sure that this is secret plot: The Turks are slowly invading the US. Americans should be very careful; though the Turkish cousine has many delicious dishes, most of them are like "cholesterol bombs".

If they also serve Raki, a Seattle trip could be really fun. When I visited the US I usually used to go to Greek and Italian restaurants. Now it seems there are many more alternatives.

I'll have the menu up in a week or two, so you can check it out. Apparently this gentleman has had the restaurant in the same location for the past 20 years. I had the best lentil soup I've ever had yesterday and his chicken gyro wasn't bad either (although I've always thought gyros were a Greek dish). Also, I'm told he makes excellent hummus.

But don't fret, if you don't want Turkish in Seattle - we can certainly come up with all kinds of others, including Russian. The last things we want to do is have you go home and be accused of you losing weight while here

As for cholesterol - no sweat. First, you're on vacation, i.e. cholesterol doesn't affect the body while on vacation (old ...
