She's lucky. When I got beat up in grade schoool, I was the one who lost my recess. At least in her case the bullies were the ones who got punished. Unfortunately, that probably made it worse for her.

A loss of recess? That's it?!

I got beat up in school, too, and the teachers told my mother that I should try harder to "fit in". At least losing their recess privilege is some kind of message that they were wrong.
