It seems to suit applications in controlling angry crowds or protestors or times of martial law. Interesting that the first sales will be non-military and commercial, isn't it? The article shows presentations for "pirate control', and the like, but these seem much more far-fetched applications for which it would be less than suitable. The us and uk military have already been using these in iraq and afghanistan and there is a much deadlier threat in the form of particle beam weapons. I'm not suprised if you find that a little far fetched, but do the research I can assure they exist. |
